I've had a recurring issue with my almost 3 year old hvac, so I decided to call Norfolk Air to verify if faulty electrical in my home was the root of the problem. I also had a surge protector installed. Mr. Barry Haley was very polite, professional, and informative. He answered all of my questions without hesitation. I liked that he explained price options and did not just hand me the most expensive quote. He cleaned up when the work was done. He even gave my needy dog some attention. I have to add that the ladies that I spoke with for appointment scheduling were also very polite and informative. I feel that these employees went above and beyond. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Called in for a new HVAC system that was installed in July. First time we turned on the heat, it did not work. Called on Sunday morning at 0800 and a technician was there in less than 2 hours. The thermostat had failed. Although frustrated that our new system did not work- the service for recovery was excellent.
Justin Malone did a great job, quickly figuring out a SPIDER laying eggs in our system clogged the gas line and fixed it right away. Thank you Justin and Norfolk Air!
They quoted $330 and $770 on top of their $89 service fee to replace a simple thermostat with warn out buttons. They have EXTREMELY inflated prices. AVOID this company!!
Michael texted he was on the way, then called when stuck in traffic. Completed his work, made recommendations and performed as expected from Norfolk Heating and Air. I expect excellence and I am never disappointed.

Wes was here when we pulled in from Maryland this morning we had a faulty outside gfi which he replaced in no time and gave me some good electrical tips also. Thanks Wes and company 😎😎Also Damien serviced our gas fireplace, did a full safety check and cleaned the entire unit. His knowledge and professionalism were top notch and really enjoyed talking to him while he was making sure everything was working properly with the fireplace, he also gave me a few good tips about certain things to look for and do. ..we had a ("freak") short in one of iur outlets which impacted wiring of other outlets, overhead lights, ceiling fan,.. Barry/Norfolk Air showed up as scheduled (called in advance to advise on his way),.. walked through service issues,.. Barry reviewed all, determined problem, provided estimate,.. agreed on work needed, he got right to work replacing needed outlet, checked fuse box/confirmed all good, tested the replaced outlet, and all related outlets, overhead lights, fan, etc, -- all good!!,.. cleaned up service area,.. reviewd/ signed work order, all correct!.. all done in approx 45minutes!!,...very happy with Barry (very knowledgeable, explained work needed/work done,.. etc,.. nice guy!!),.. very satisfied with Barry and Norfolk Air quick response,..

We’ve used numerous other companies since we moved here and finally feel like we’ve found a reliable reasonably priced company. Eric Richardson came to my apartment to do an estimate for a water purification system in my kitchen sink, the bathroom sink and shower. He said that since my apt is one of twelve units, he would need to get an apartment capablesystem. He is very knowledgeable, professional and courteous.
I had a plumber named Jerome. Very professional, gave his recommendation as well as other options to choose from in regards to my toilet issues. After I decided, he got the job done in a timely manner and answered my questions throughout the process. I recommend him.

I previously had a plumber come out and tell me there was a flow restriction in my pipes and would require ripping out walls to find the problem. Jesse came in looked at my water heater and had the issue fixed in less than 5 minutes. Their experience alone makes it worth the investment.

The crew arrived on time as scheduled, quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem and arranged for repairs. Repairs were done efficiently and effectively and with in the cost quoted. After two failed appointments, I cancelled the service and called Norfolk Air Heating and Plumbing. Tony called and said he would arrive early. He quickly installed the device and helped me program it. He was a pleasure to work with.

Against my own better judgment- I did the membership with them. I had a bad experience when they serviced my HVAC but out of convenience, kept them.My breaking point was when my water heater broke.They claim to be available 24/7- which is what my membership pays for. But when I called several different phone numbers, their phone system automatically hung up on me.The technician charged me almost double what a normal plumber charges to swap out the thermostats and the heating elements - I was charged $1000.That didn’t fix it.They brought out an electrician who did next to nothing - he also tried to charge me $140 for resetting a circuit breaker. I refused to pay that.After $1000 - now the whole thing needs to be replaced.I talked to a different plumber who’s replacing the entire thing for $1400.Norfolk Heating and Air took advantage of me financially as much as they possibly could. They consistently came outside of their scheduled window and charge significantly more than competitors. Their incompetence was clear when - after installation - the on/off switch was literally off and both the plumber and electrician missed it.I truly cannot believe how much I paid for such a terrible experience.Save your money - find a small business that specializes in one thing rather than a big company that appears to be mediocre in a variety of things.
Justin and his assistant are terrific, I have full confidence in their assessment and getting my HVAC unit on the right track. Justin is extremely knowledgeable and explains what is going on with my units and what in fact needs to be done.

I recently requested an estimate from this company to fix a simple faucet, and I was quoted $600 for just an hour and a half of labor. That’s an outrageous rate of around $400 per hour. When I spoke with the plumbing manager, he told me that he believed this was a fair price, which made it clear to me that they’re inflating their estimates. They use a software to calculate their prices, but it’s clear to me that this is just a tactic to overcharge customers. I don’t recommend this company if you’re looking for reasonable pricing—there are plenty of other plumbers who will do the same work for a fraction of the cost. Save your money and avoid this place!
I had an excellent experience with this company from the very start! When I first called, I spoke with Jaiden, who was incredibly helpful and kind. She was so patient, even with the limited information I had, and managed to get me scheduled without any issues. I needed to provide one more piece of information but didn’t have it at the time, so I asked to call back.When I did, I spoke with Kyra, who was just as kind and professional. I had actually called in a second time before reaching her, and while I was on hold, the call got disconnected. I completely understand how busy they must be, especially with the changing seasons! Despite the hiccup, Kyra apologized sincerely and reassured me that it wasn’t intentional.The customer service here truly stands out. Both Jaiden and Kyra spoke clearly, professionally, and were exceptionally polite. I haven't had the chance to use their technicians yet, as my service call is scheduled for tomorrow, but the front office has set the bar high! Given the number of other 5-star reviews, I have no doubt that the technicians will be just as fantastic. Great company all around! Highly recommend!

He cleaned out the clogged pipes (green gunk from humid summer weather) and helped me by letting me know that if I see water in front of my window, I need to call for service without delay. Our technician was Cameron Knowles. He came for a fall check up of our HVAC system. He was very thorough and took his time on each part. He is such a nice young man and was so helpful. Hopefully he can service our unit again! Great job again Norfolk Heating and Air!
Kyle and his partner came to address on ongoing issue. They quickly assessed the problem, provided an estimate for repair and scheduled it for the next week. It’s great to get the same plumber each time who understands our system and is familiar with the house. We ask for him and he does an excellent job.
Cassidy and Nicole are our top two favorite employees at Norfolk Air. We have had this company install new ductless mini split systems and also routine maintenance on that system as well over the past roughly 4 years. We always request that Cassidy be assigned to our property for any routine maintenance on our system, as he is extremely professional, approachable, and seems to really care about our client experience. He also makes recommendations based on what he sees and from his professional knowledge. Nicole is a great asset to the company as well, and we request to work with her for all scheduling questions and logistics for their crews. She takes a personal interest in our situations and monitors the progress on their company's end seamlessly, as well as communicates our questions to the appropriate parties and always follows up with us on a timeline that is explicitly stated to us. Thank you, Nicole and Cassidy, for your professionalism and integrity!Updated 9/14/2024: Carl Scales recently installed a new mini split system in our upstairs, and he was amazing! Carl was overly communicative, extremely professional, and overall a great guy to be around. We knew we were in good hands with Carl, and he assured us at every step along the way that the system was being installed properly. Any questions we had he addressed them immediately, and his customer service is 10 out of 10. Carl was aware that we were not pleased (to say the least) with Tyler's customer service during the entire "quote" process for our upstairs system, and Carl made sure to go above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied after having a not-so-great experience with Tyler. Would highly recommend Carl for any installs, he is the best service member for installs that we have had over the past 6 or 7 years. Thank you, Carl!

Painfully Expensive, But Thorough and Fair.I was shocked to find out how expensive what I thought a simple "check-up" would cost, but the technician told me exactly why each item was in question and why it was important to address. I was still nettled by the costs in my situation so customer service called me, listened to my frustration and explained why the costs were what they were. They were understanding of my situation and helped me through it. I don't understand the costs of HVAC repair because it's outside my field, but the prices seem unreasonably high. Nevertheless, I was very grateful for their obvious care and professionalism with me.
